“CO GEN FUND” = County General Fund
“BOND RETIRE” = County Bond Retirement
“MET PARK” = Lorain County Metropolitan Park District
“CHILD SERV” = Lorain County Children Services
“LCCC” = Lorain County Community College
“911” = Lorain County 9-1-1 Agency
“LCDD” = Lorain County Board Of Developmental Disabilities

Why do I have a city tax when I don't live in a city?

If you live in District 2, 21, 23, 31, 32, 33, 40, 41, 46, 47, 56, 68, or 70, then the City tax is for the Elyria Public Library
If you live in District 3, 24, 48, 58, or 60, then the City tax is for the Oberlin Public Library.

Why do I have a township tax when I don't live in a township?

If you live in District 12, 38, 39, 49, 52, 53, 55, 66 or 67, then the Township tax is for the Herrick Memorial Public Library.

Why do I have current assessments on my bill?

If you have taxes showing under “SPECIAL” then these taxes are for a special assessment on the parcel.
